22 Productivity Tips in 22 Days
A 22-day mini-series on how to improve our mental and physical well-being
To help manage our busy lives, I made a 22-day mini-series to highlight 22 productivity tips.
1. Write things down
Writing things down saves us time and energy, and increases our mental health.
I use Twos to quickly write down anything I want to remember.
2. Make a list
Be clear on your priorities and use them to stay productive.
I am constantly making and sharing lists with other people to communicate both with myself and others.
3. Keep track of to-dos
Remember things you need to do and celebrate your accomplishments.
All of my to-dos live in Twos.
4. Set reminders
Free up your mind to focus on other things.
Don’t worry about remembering important dates or times, set a reminder and forget about it until your phone reminds you.
5. Plan your day the night before
You’ll sleep well and wake up ready for the day.
I use Twos to plan out my days and carry over unfinished to-dos.
6. Break down tasks
We procrastinate on big tasks.
Break them down into smaller tasks to make it easy to get started.
7. Journal
Unload your mind, think through decisions, and remember the ups and downs of life.
I’ve journaled for over 8 years and journal a few times per week.
8. Use technology
Capture things anywhere, find things fast, and keep everything in one place.
I use Twos to capture, remember, and share anything.
9. Use airplane mode
Limit distractions and focus on getting things done.
I turn on airplane mode before bed and leave it on for the first couple hours of each day.
10. Meditate
Increase your ability to concentrate so you can be more productive.
I meditate for 10 minutes each day.
11. Connect your calendar
Find an all-in-one solution so you can save time switching between apps for notes, reminders, calendars, tasks, etc.
See everything in one place.
12. Get plenty of sleep
Sleep is important for our physical and mental health.
I get 7–8 hours of sleep per night.
13. Do one task at a time
Multi-tasking isn’t real.
If you get distracted, write it down, and get back to the task at hand.
14. Say no
Productivity is about doing the right things.
Don’t be afraid to tell people no.
15. Block out time
Use time blocking to make sure you are making progress on everything you want to do.
I’ll block in 1-3 hour blocks so I can get into the flow of a task.
16. Set goals
People who set goals are 10x more successful when they set goals.
Write down your goals, make a plan, and start working toward them
Check out my goals this year: 19 Goals for 29
17. Find an accountability partner
Tell them about your goals.
I share my goals publicly and with my friends and family to hold myself accountable.
18. Read before bed
Watching screens before bed hurt our sleep.
Reading helps relax your mind so you can fall asleep faster.
You’ll also learn new things!
19. Practice good posture
The way you hold yourself affects the way you feel.
Sit up straight to stay alert and productive.
20. Do the hard thing first
This is how you make the most progress.
Pick that task you’ve been putting off and figure out how you can start on it today.
21. Practice gratitude
Celebrate small wins and share your appreciation with other people.
You might just make someone else’s day :)
22. Change your perspective
We stand in our way.
Change the way you are thinking about things to unlock your full potential.
